I went to Ottawa a while ago to visit my folks and took the liberty of stopping by the Value Village and found many goodies. One of a few things that I like about Ottawa is that the second hand stores have not yet been raided of their unique second hand treasures, unlike Montreal because in Ottawa there are way less people interested in purchasing second hand stuff. Which is great for me because my motto is, one woman's old floral dress is and other girl's potential mullet floral skirt. Which is what I turned one of the oversized skirts into. (With the help of my roommate's crafty sewing skills). Well she did most of the work actually... I just bought it and had the idea of making the front shorter. I'll post a before and after picture of the skirt eventually.
These were just too unique to pass up. And tall 1970's velvet boots are back in style... Hopefully for a while since it'll take me that long to gain enough confidence to walk in these.
This is a random photo of a house in Vanier close to where on of my friend lives. This is a good example of what I may one day become if I keep buying and collecting things that are otherwise not that useful to me. So i'm forcing myself to look at this pic once in a while to limit my thrift store outings. Must resist the junk.
