Old orchard Beach, Maine

Quick 4 day trip to Old Orchard Beach, Maine before the summer ends. I went there once when I was a little girl, so it was nice to go again, and get those good memories back. We stayed in a cosy little beach house seconds away from the beach. It still had that same old charm, boardwalk shops selling dried up sea treasures like star fish and those tacky seashell chandeliers and small food joints with the best lobster rolls you'll ever have. The weather was iffy at first, but the sun eventually showed itself and I was able to bask it it's glorious heat for a bit.

As promised, the rain eventually came, so we had to bid the beach farewell and say hello to shopping instead. Portland here we come. At first glance Portland seems like your regular urban landscape, just like montreal and I was a little bit disappointed at what I was seeing.  But in every city there's an art district! And I was jumping with joy as soon as I saw signs for art galleries, second hand stores and charming cafes. I knew then, that I had found my shopping spot. I found that most second hand stores we went in had things that were quite affordable, and in some cases even cheaper then in Montreal. I left Portland with a nice Aztec printed jacket for 18$ and a pair of vintage style circular shaped sunglasses that were about 12$ Oh and a lil something for my roommate Cindy! :D

And then it soon came time to leave the sandy beaches of Old Orchard to go back to my home sweet home in Montreal. And what a better way to spend you're last day then watching the sunrise on the beach one last time.
